Join Jenny for an afternoon of inversions! Learn techniques for gaining strength and confidence in tripod headstand, supported headstand, handstand, and forearm stand (with several variations). Although yoga experience is recommended, this workshop is suitable for all levels--students who are new to inversions and those who want to take their inversion practice to a new level with more advanced postures. MONTHLY MEDITATION

Curious about meditation and mindfulness? Interested in deepening your yoga practice? Join Highland Yoga teachers on the first Sunday of each month for a 30 minute guided meditation. Learn basic meditation techniques as well as how meditation relates to what you do on your mat. Meditation can be a powerful tool for self-discovery, reducing anxiety, and living a more joyful and vibrant life. We are excited to share this practice with you!

Location: Virginia Highlands

Date/Time: First Sunday of each month; 1:15-1:45 pm

Suitable for all levels, whether you're new to meditation or have a daily practice.

Our monthly meditation is donation-based benefiting Centering Youth, a 501(c)(3) that brings yoga and mindfulness into the juvenile justice system.

Learn Thai yoga massage techniques that promote restful connection and compassion, and offer therapeutic benefits. Ashley Bohanon of Boholistic Bodywork will teach you stretches, postures and techniques you can easily practice again with your partner at home.

We'll get easy vibes going with Thai aromas, share a short and simple flow to get warm, then ease into the experience of Boholistic Thai bodywork therapy with your partner. The evening will be punctuated with restful pauses to learn the philosophy and yogic roots of this lighthearted, moving meditation.

Take home a complimentary essential oil bath salt soak to complete your evening!

FAQ
What will I need to bring?
Each pair will need one mat + pillow. Wear clothing you can move comfortably in.

Do I need to come with a partner?

Bringing a partner is encouraged.  Ask a yoga buddy, friend, or partner to come experience Thai bodywork with you.

What is Thai bodywork therapy?
Thai bodywork therapy is a moving meditation for both giver and receiver. It shares an ancient lineage with yoga, with influences from other traditional eastern healing modalities. Three traditional components are:
1. The session is given on a floor mat
2. It blends compression and stretching
3. The recipient is wearing comfortable, moveable clothing

Do I need prior bodywork experience?
Nope! This workshop is appropriate for any level. Some yoga experience may be helpful, but is not necessary.
